Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms describe use of TunnelBar Connect and this website, alongside the applicable App Store license and Apple terms. Contact us if you have questions before using the app.
License and App Store
The app is licensed, not sold. Apple’s Standard EULA applies unless a valid custom license is supplied with the app. The App Store displays applicable prices and purchase conditions. Apple manages billing and refund requests.
Requirements and authorized use
TunnelBar requires macOS 15 or later and access to an SSH server allowing TCP forwarding. Use only servers, accounts, and networks you are authorized to access, and follow applicable laws and network policies. No SSH server is provided.
Connection limits
The app provides a local SOCKS5 proxy over SSH for TCP traffic from compatible applications. It is not a system-wide VPN, does not change DNS settings, and does not guarantee anonymity, coverage of all traffic, or uninterrupted connectivity.
Your configuration
You are responsible for your credentials, trusted host fingerprints, and server configuration. Network changes may require macOS authorization. TunnelBar attempts to restore previous SOCKS settings when disconnecting. If recovery is pending, review Diagnostics before deleting local data.
Availability and your rights
Compatibility and connectivity depend on macOS, your network, your server, and other applications. The app and website are provided as available, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
External services and updates
Apple, hosting providers, SSH operators, and destination services have their own terms. Updates may change features or requirements. We will update the date when these terms change. The website demo only illustrates connection states and does not create a real tunnel.
